If you haven’t had a chance to read the latest newsletter, here is some of the info!
 October brings with it a change in the air. Ambrose and his Faculty have brought the ancient tradition of Hallowe’en with them to the Spiral again this year.
October marks both an ending and a beginning in an eternal cycle, which is something we understand here at the School of Death. Death’s power comes from the removing of order from the universe at large. Withdrawing the power of order and allowing chaos to return instills Necromancers to bend magic to their will.
Jack Hallow in the Ravenwood Commons has special quests for young Wizards and there’s a new tower in Ravenwood that he will ask you to explore. Spooky Bob has returned to the Ravenwood Shopping District with all sorts of Hallowe’en items for you to purchase. Please note if you completed these quests during the last Hallowe’en event, you will not be offered these quests again, but you can still enter the tower in Ravenwood.

Mounts to arrive MID-OCTOBER!
 Do you think you know everything about the Spiral? Well Merle is asking some very tough questions on his Twitter Channel.
If you think you know the answer, re-Tweet it, but be very careful, these are difficult questions that few players have answered correctly! Merle will Tweet the answer the next week day (weekends excluded) so brush up on your Spiral trivia, and see if you can answer his questions.
I went on a shopping spree for the entire family! We got pumpkin masks and black kitties and sweet new staffs and lots of other goodies. Have you gotten a new Halloween costume yet? Post your pictures on ConnectX!! I would love to see what festive costume you’ve out together.
 My New Halloween Costume & My Vampire Buddy There is lots of fun to be had in the new haunted city. Valdus scored a nice Wraith Statue and a Marleybone Camping tent from the final tower in Ravenwood. I won a Dead Briar Tree. So it looks like there are some rare drops that are AWESOME!

You must have known that someone was coming for you. Your wicked ways have troubled the Spiral for too long.
 Malistaire Vows Revenge In your haste to punish me, you lost your Ebon Robe along with a painting that you Ruined! I believe it was once a painting of you.
 Ruined Painting - Crowns Item Dropped by Malistaire You and I have battled many times before, and you sir have always been STINGY when it comes to getting drops that I can use!
 Malistaire - Super Nemesis However, this weekend, it seems your defenses were weakened. I was determined to steal your robes as soon as you were distracted. It was too easy this time.
 Perfect Distraction After a crushing defeat, I returned to Wizard City with your beloved Ebon Robe…and a SMILE on my face.
 Grandmaster Robe from Malistaire I guess this is where I say Thank You. Maybe you will keep both eyes open next time and you won’t get robbed. Don’t worry Mr. zombie, I have a feeling we will meet again and again. Next time, I won’t be so nice.

It certainly was a busy weekend defending the Spiral. A few friends dropped by Sunday night and I had an impromptu Tour Party at my mansion in Dragonspyre. Leala Turkey (@epicdolls) dropped by with her wizard Leesha Darkheart, a fellow Death student, and her husband Beau (@spouseaggro) brought Cass Lionrunner to visit!
On a side note: Wizard101 needs a way to block people from your home. I had the unpleasant experience of children with foul mouths last night. The friends I wanted there ported to me, and then that’s when it happened….other people ported and then MORE people ported. It was ok…at FIRST. Then, these kids were being really rude and I had NO way of getting them out of my home once they were there. I even left and came back and they were there. I was quite embarassed when Leala & Beau showed up with these hooligans running around my house. It was certainly NOT typical. Hopefully, we can visit again though! Ok, rant done.

We are running lotteries for fans of Wizard101 from Sept.21-25th. Each day we will announce one lucky winner!
If you don’t win one day, you could win the next, so the sooner you become a fan, the sooner you’ll be entered into lotteries for great prizes! It’s easy to enter, just click on “Become a Fan” at the top of the page, if you are not a fan already.

Testing phase is complete and the updates for the Bazaar are now live on Wizard101. Here is a message direct from the faculty at Ravenwood regarding the latest changes to the Bazaar.
New Bazaar!
Elik has updated his Bazaar in Olde Town. The new Bazaar allows players to sort items based on name, quantity, school, level and cost.
When you first arrive at the Bazaar, everything will be sorted by name. As you can see from the following picture, there’s a yellow arrow under the word ‘Name’. Click the word Name to sort from A to Z or Z to A.
 Sort by NAME If you’d prefer to sort by the quantity of an item, click the top of the column with the # sign. You can sort from high to low, or low to high.
 Sort by QUANTITY If you’d prefer to sort by level, click the letters LVL at the top of the column. Again you can sort from high to low, or low to high.
 Sort by LEVEL If you’d prefer to sort by school, click the top of the SCH column. A small spiral image indicates the item can be used by any school.
 Sort by SCHOOL Finally, if you’d prefer to sort by cost you can do so by clicking on the top of the column with the word Cost. You can sort from high to low and low to high.
 Sort by COST If you only want to see items that your current character can use at this time, select the Usable checkbox in the lower right corner of the window. This will filter out all items that you cannot currently use due to level or school restrictions.
We all hope that you will find shopping at the new and improved Bazaar an easier and faster experience.
So, I am off to shop, shop, shop! I think you all will be very pleased with the updates. Let me know what you think!

 Fallon Goes Shopping Olde Town is the place to be – there you will find the new Bazaar. This new Bazaar gives players access to items found by other players, in all the worlds of the Spiral.
 Elik Silverfist Players can sell their extra items to a new shopkeeper named Elik Silverfist. That’s me on the left! I’ll pay you the value in gold for your items based on supply and demand. If I already have lots of the item you are selling me, then I will pay you less gold for yours. If I’m low or out of stock on the item you are selling, I will pay you more gold! No matter what, I will always offer a better price than other shopkeepers.
You can also buy items from me that other players have sold to me. The more of an item I have, the cheaper it will be, and the fewer of an item I have, the more expensive it will be. If you see an item you like, buy it, it may not be there next time you visit.
All prices are based on my current stock of items, so shop often for that special bargain, young Wizards! And don’t worry, if someone sells an item on Wu Realm, and you’re on Pixie, you’ll see it in my inventory – I’ve got all the Realms covered!
You’ll find me in the Bazaar building in Olde Town – look for the big signs!

KingsIsle Entertainment will be releasing new features for Wizard101. There also some changes that will be made to certain spells, pets, furniture, clothing and other aspects of game play.
Stun Lock
 Stun Shield 1. When a player is hit with a Stun spell in combat they will still but stunned, but now a new Stun Shield will appear around them. The next time that player is attacked with any spell that stuns, the stun will be blocked and the shield will be used up.
2. This applies to creatures as well! The shield will be raised for them too.
Housing Items
1. Dogfish Statue is now functioning properly as a Wall Hanging item.
2. Pilloried Skeleton can now be placed anywhere in a players home that it will fit into.
3. Wall Chains & Looped Wall Chains can now be placed on a players wall.
4. Boiler Door is now easier to place.
5. Players can now pick up the Iron Tea Pot from where it has been placed
6. The Red Dragon Bust can now be placed on a wall in a house.
Other Details
1. The maximum amount of gold a character can have has been raised to 150,000.
2. Satyr Pets now come with Satyr Cards instead of Unicorn.
3. Players defeated in a duel will be marked “Defeated” in their 2d Combat Panel
4. Beguile will not cause loss of rank when used on the last turn of a Player vs Player match.
5. Voiceovers have been added to the Tutorial Tips and the Help Menu
6. Beware young Wizards, the population of creatures has increased in Kishibe Village!
7. Tri-Blade, Tri-Trap and other Triple affect spells have been sped up to appear faster
8. Sgt Skullsplitter is no longer helping young Wizards and has stopped casting Deathblade on players.
9. The population of Nirini Bosses has increased to help Wizards complete “Give ‘Em Another Round” quest.
10. Speed Boots of the Comet have had their textures fixed and all Speed Boots can now be dyed.
11. Dragonspyre Academy map has been updated to correct the location of the Crystal Grove.
12. Players will regain their health while they are in their Dorm Rooms.
